Right I have made my list. Its not out and out competitive and Im sure there are more competitive builds. But I think it will hold its own if I use it correctly.
Its more to fit with my army fluff... which I will go into at a later date, but for now all you need to know is its a fleet based Khorne army that is made up piratical traitors who want to be blessed into the the main central beacon ship. Thats why you see an element of CSM and not just Bezerkers as to be labotimised the CSM would need to granted into the beacon ship where a large but not completely World Eater force operates. I will go into more detail later along with the fleets name.

Replace the power weapons with power fists. With the volume of attacks the Zerkers put out, oppenants will reduce power weapon kills with wound allocation.
ReplyDeleteAlso it's a bummer the lord has to walk, while everyone else rides in a bus. Drop him and replace him with Kharn or a Greater Daemon.

UUUhh nice point about the PF, I normally like to attack first whatever, but I guess with the punishment being dished out by the zerkers, your point is very valid, I'll have a look at that...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Im making a cool conversion of the lord so Im gonna have to leave him in. He is going to charge up behind the LR and the Termies are going to DS next to him, which is why I gave him an icon. He should be fine, like a second wave of kick ass termie/Lord kick assness.. kinda.
Personally Im not a fan of the defiler, the armour is way to weak and it tends to be an easy kill point. Why not look at a Vindi? AV 13 and still have a template weapon, ok its only 24" but your guys are going in close anyways.
ReplyDeleteI would also drop a LR and use the points to get another rhino, powerfists on your squads and if you have enough points either a daemon prince or Greater daemon. You still have a Landraider then to provide cover for the Lord and prince.
Just depends on if you have already bought the 2 Landraiders.
I could swap out a LR, I have another Rhino and I have a Greater Daemon so all that is fine, I'll give it a playtest... I like the idea of charging the zerkers straight out into combat, may not be worth the 250 points price tag of a LR though, I agree... would need wings on a DP I think...

If you still need wings for you DP Mart, I've got an orc wyvern still in pieces lying about, you can have the wings from that.
